Girona has loads of shops, but on future visits Bike Breaks will always be my go-to for bike rental or picking up necessities for several reasons:

-Bike shops can be unfriendly or pretentious places, and you'd expect that to be magnified in a town like Girona. There's none of that here: the shop feels open to everyone, staff are friendly, and they proudly shows their connection to the pro scene in Girona without feeling too cool for the rest of us.

-They organize an awesome Thursday ride that's free and suited to all levels of riders, a must-do to find good roads for those of us who are visiting.

-The owners seem to really care about people enjoying Girona, and offer up plenty of free advice and route ideas, even while I was riding the aforementioned free shop ride and hadn't spent any money in the shop.

-Finally, when I have rented from the shop the bikes were well taken care of, fairly priced, and with something for everyone (mid-range to high-end, road, gravel, e-bikes, etc).

¡La tienda lo mejor, de lo mejor! Pero no entiendo como una tienda de tal prestigio, tiene como mecánico un tal Miguel. Que se dedica a vender bicicletas de segunda mano, con precios desorbitados,, deciendo que tienen pocas salidas y luego resulta que están llenas de averías., Que como garantía lo que hace es ponerte piezas usadas y en mal estado.

La mejor tienda de bicicletas en Girona. Amplia oferta de bicis para alquilar y vender. Increible surtido de ropa ciclista y ropa casual.
Siempre en manos de un increible equipo de trabajadores muy profesional que te ayudan en cualquier duda o problema.
Ademas puedes optar por un sin fin de rutas, con guia, o libre con GPS.... Trato inmejorable...

Hice un pedido de dos gorras Cannondale a través de wallapop ,amabilidad y atención extrema!!! Luego viendo su página me percaté de que venden un montón de ropa de equipos profesionales a precios expectaculares.recibi el pedido y en el aparte de las gorras había pegatinas ,una boda de ositos haribo y lo mejor una nota mano deseando un buen día........sin palabras

I am an avid amateur cyclist from California who now lives in Andalucia. I have been all over the world (close to 50 countries), and wherever I am, I check out the local bike shops for jerseys, rentals, routes and...just because I'm a nerd. I've been to Girona a few times now, and I always make a point of stopping at Bike Breaks-Girona Cycle Centre. This last time, we were staying an hour away on the coast and we drove in on a stormy day just before closing so I could go back to the place I consider the #1 cycle clothing shop on the planet. I got there right as they were closing in the rain, and they stayed open later for me just so I could nerd out. And it's easy to do so in a place where you can actually buy cycling clothing and equipment previously owned by real pros! And for, like, nada. If this were in California, I'd be paying hundreds of dollars for a jersey I just got from a top-20 Tour de France pro for 50 euros.

Beyond the clothes, they also rent some great bikes, sponsor a lot of local bike-related events, do tours, and even have downloadable local routes ridden by local pros (I saw a bunch last time I was there, including a couple of pro teams riding together).

I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that this place is the best. And when you can't make it in person, you can order online (in fact, there's more online now than in the store). This last time I finally got to meet Dave, the founder, and his wife and daughter. Super excellent humans, all of them, and a business more than worthy of this review.

Top service from Bike Breaks!! There are loads of routes available online for cycling around Girona but the routes from Bike Breaks benefit from 25 years on local knowledge and they were fantastic. First time I have rented a bike rather than bring my own and it was so much easier than lugging around my bike box, unpacking, packing etc. The bikes were top notch £5.5k and were a joy to ride. Girona is a fantastic cycle destination and Bike Breaks Dave ensured we got the maximum out of our trip. It is worth going there just to spot cycling pro’s coming in for a chat.

Have been by this shop several times and will go back again. The go to shop in Girona for everything cycling. Have cool pro apparel. Excellent bike mechanic. They have group rides. I'm renting bikes there and they are amazing at that too. Really have it all and will help with anything.

I spent two weeks in Girona last October and am an avid cyclist so wanted to ride while there. Several friends referred me to Bike Breaks and I could not have been happier or more taken care of. The owners Dave and Saskia and their team exude such positive energy and hospitality toward visiting cyclists, offer a wide range of accessories and high quality bikes for hire, and run several weekly shop rides exploring the beautiful surrounding mountains and coastline. They can also customize rides for private groups and arrange in advance of your visit. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bike Breaks as your go-to shop for all things cycling in and around Girona. Can't wait to get back and ride with this crew.

We were a rather big group and all our bikes were provided quickly and in great shape, brandnew bikes among them. Very friendly staff. The social ride on Thursday was great, I enjoyed the hills and descents! And as I was the last one, I had my private guide ;-) If I return to Girona (who knows) I'll definitely pop by!

We had an absolutely incredible experience on the Medieval Villages tour with Josep! He ensured the ride was at the perfect level for two (very) amateur cyclists—challenging enough to feel like a significant accomplishment by the end of the trip, but manageable, enjoyable, and safe the whole way through.

The villages of the Girona countryside are truly a sight to see. Straight out of a fairy tale, with winding cobblestone roads, castles, and old farmhouses dotting the hills. Josep seemed to know the history of every square meter of land we passed, and his stories complemented the beautiful scenery perfectly. All in all, an experience we will never forget!

I rented A cannondale systemsix for 7 days for 240 euros. it's the full on aero cockpit and 64mm wheels! increatable value. riding this bike is an experience, if you are going for a cycling vacation, you should deffintly spend the 100 euro extra and upgrade you self to this bike. it could very well be the best bike in the world.
tjek out the rest of the shop as well, he has lot of awesome kit !

With a small mechanical problem with one of our bikes in mind I called the shop. If it was possible to get the bike fixed, pleas? A friendly staff member was very clear: “yes of course we’ll fix that straight away, just come when it suits you”. At the shop people where friendly, service minded and grazy about cycling: nice! The mechanical was fixed in no time by an experienced engineer.
The shop is really worth visiting, a lot of equipment, jersey’s of pro cyclist on every wall, good vibes, real shop, real people!
